Although I started drawing as a toddler, it wasn’t until I turned five that my interests expanded to watercolors, ceramics and even carpet weaving. Watercolors taught me how to accept challenges, as there is no room for errors. Ceramics taught me how to materialize my imagination, and carpet weaving taught me how to be patient and stay focused.
Graduating from two Art Schools with diplomas of distinction gave me a solid academic foundation and also led to my discovery of the French impressionists. I was fascinated by their focus on composition and light. Their use of colours, brushstrokes and textures was just breathtaking.
